With two rounds out of twelve completed Teng Tools backed riders pack the top of the FIM World Speedway Championship standings with five out of the top eight riders. In fact Freddie Lindgren from Sweden, Jason Doyle from Australia and Martin Vaculik from Slovakia occupy first, second and third places in the current world rankings.
Round three is Latvia and the Lokomotiv Stadium in Daugavpils close to the borders with Belarus and Lithuania. You can expect some more fantastic racing as the other two Teng Tools riders, Tai Woffinden from the UK and Niels Kristian Iversen from Denmark will be aiming to improve on their fifth and eighth places. Tai is of course a double world champion but he is not the only rider in Latvia with his name engraved on a top class trophy. There are three other former world champions, five world under 21 champions and a European champion amongst the other ten regular Grand Prix riders. One thing all the commentators agree on is that this is the most competitive world championship ever held with any one of fifteen riders capable of becoming 2017 World Speedway Champion.
There are twelve rounds held across the world between April and October starting in Slovenia with the final races being held in Melbourne, Australia. The riders also compete in Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Czech Republic, Sweden and of course Poland. In 2016 the television coverage reached 114 countries with 2,429 broadcasts over 5,486 hours and a potential viewing audience of 350 million people. Add in 1.1 million views on You Tube, 6 million video views on Facebook and 11.2 million views on the SGP website and you can see that the famous Teng Tools eyes logo is going to get an enormous amount of exposure through speedway this year.
For 2017 Teng Tools is proud to have been appointed the official tools partner to the Speedway GP series and all riders at all events will be wearing race jackets with the Teng Tools logo clearly visible on the front. At Cardiff and in Stockholm and Malilla in Sweden there will be even more Teng Tools presence with the Teng Tools eyes featuring on trackside banners and the interview backdrops.
Teng Tools has been one of the leading suppliers of tools to speedway riders for many years with many recent champions proudly using and promoting the Teng Tools brand. The riders we support compete at all levels from young juniors just starting out to the top riders vying for the ultimate prize of being crowned world champion. In fact wherever you watch speedway you are almost certain to see the famous Teng eyes logo in the pits area, on the bikes and on the race suits.
