In the speedway Grand Prix most of the riders already choose Teng Tools as their preferred supplier of tools but for 2017 five riders will be Teng Tools ambassadors representing their countries – Tai Woffinden for the UK, Niels Kristen Iversen for Denmark, Freddie Lindgren for Sweden, Jason Doyle for Australia and Martin Vaculik representing the Slovak and Poland supporters.
The 2017 season has got off to a fantastic start for all five riders, between them they occupy five of the top eight places in the world rankings including first, second and third. Two Grand Prix have been held, Slovenia and Warsaw, both won by Teng Tools backed riders.
At the top of the table sits Fredrik Lindgren, Fast Freddie is a real star of Swedish speedway having been born in Orebro but now based in Andorra, a place he believes has helped him to become one of the fittest riders in the GP series. It is also the home of his advisor and multiple long track world champion Joonas Kylmakorpi. The ability to train all winter and the advice he receives from Joonas and the rest of his team are definitely what Freddie believes has made the difference.
In fact all five of the Teng Tools riders are past GP winners but it is Fast Freddie Lindgren who has dominated the season so far with a win and a second place in the two finals held so far. It is hard to believe that Freddie seriously considered retiring from speedway just two years ago; who would have thought then that he would turn his career around and be sitting at the top of the world rankings. That is exactly what the Teng Tools backed rider has achieved after winning the Warsaw Grand Prix in front of a crowd of over 50,000 and a worldwide television audience.
Not only is Freddie top of the world in the GP series but he is also one of the top points scorers in just about every major speedway league in Europe with weekly meetings for Wolverhampton in the UK, KS Row Rybnik in Poland and Dackarna Mallilla in Sweden. Being based in Andorra you can imagine the hours of travelling and the organisation behind the scenes to effectively run four sets of equipment.
Teng Tools is an important part of that organisation and all his workshops and race engineers use Teng Tools, in fact Freddie has been using Teng Tools for many years now. He knows that he can rely on the tools in the frantic world of speedway where bike set ups often have to be changed with new gearing ratios, new ignition settings or even new engines, often with only a few minutes available.
Follow Freddie and his racing on line or live on TV – all the GP’s and many of the league races are shown on TV around the world.
