Speedway Grand Prix 2017 takes to the big stage again this weekend with a 45,000 capacity crowd filling the Principality national stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
This is the event that every rider wants to win – it is to speedway what Wimbledon is to tennis. With British rider Tai Woffinden making a rare appearance in the UK and British champion Craig Cook racing a very lively crowd will be cheering on their favourites from the best 16 speedway riders in the world as they compete head to head and wheel to wheel. It will be very loud and very exciting!
Teng Tools supported riders have done rather well this year so far with Freddie Lindgren (Sweden), Martin Vaculik (Slovakia) and Jason Doyle (Australia) all having won a Grand Prix this year. In fact Teng Tools riders dominate the top of the championship table. Tai Woffinden (Great Britain) and Niels Kristian Iversen (Denmark) may not have won a GP yet this year but Niels won here in 2015 and Tai is a double world champion and was runner up last year.
It really is the most open world championship for years, any of the six Teng Tools riders could win this Saturday night but there are twelve other top riders to beat first.
Follow the action on line or live on TV – tapes up at 17.15 UK time Saturday 22nd July. It will be fast and furious!
