World Champions already but the race goes on

Teng Tools supported Petter Solberg may have already won the FIA World Rally Cross Team Championship and his team mate Johan Kristofferson may have already won the 2017 drivers championship but the race goes on and this weekend the team are in Germany with not two but three cars competing.

Peter is planning to race despite having only just left hospital for treatment to his broken collar bone and fractured ribs. There is the small matter of second place in the championship to decide and as 2014 winner at Estering he is determined to get a silver medal to add to his two golds from his previous championship wins. Not one to give less than 100% Petter will be trying his hardest to make it 9 wins from 12 starts for the team this season.

Johan Kristofferson has already been crowned champion for 2017 but he will also be giving 100% in his Teng Tools supported VW Polo to make it six wins on the trot – unprecedented in World Rally Cross and not often seen in any motor sport at this level. Quite an achievement for his first season in the PSRX prepared supercar.

The big news though is that the team will be competing with three cars this weekend with Dieter Depping making the move from WRC rallying and circuit racing to world rally cross. As a four times German rally champion and works driver for VW Dieter has a wealth of experience and is relishing the challenge of WRX which mixes it up between tarmac and off road surfaces.

Three cars and three champion drivers, all supported by Teng Tools and all going for the win in Germany this weekend – could be interesting!

Catch the action live on TV or on line around the world, qualifying 1 and 2 is Saturday 30th September at 12.00 and 13.30 CET, Q3 and Q4 are Sunday morning with the semi-finals and final starting around 15.00 CET on Sunday 1st October.

Good luck to all three drivers from their friends at Teng Tools.
